New NSA Northwest Web Site is Live
by Jocelyn Garner
Nearly 4 years after the first NSA Northwest web site debuted on the Internet, a new membership-based website went live on the Internet on July 4th, 2006 -- Independence Day. Based on VisionGate Fusion membership software, (http://www.visiongatefusion.com), the new site is a result of nearly 6 months of planning, design, and refinements by the Board of Directors.
President Jocelyn 'Toolie' Garner explained that the site provides a number of new features and capabilities that the Board has been interested in providing to support our NSA Northwest Community of Speakers. These include mutual Support Forums, a place for Member News and Articles, and a more proactive relationship with meeting planners in the area.
The NSA Northwest site features photos, contact information, and program descriptions for all of its Members, along with complete Chapter Event descriptions, and photos from recent events.
All visitors to the site can obtain the RSS feed that provides up-to-date information on upcoming events as soon as it is posted. Visitors who register with the site can also receive immediate notification through RSS feeds when Chapter and Member News, and Member Articles are posted.
Meeting Planers are encouraged to apply for a free account that gives them private access to Member forums where they can post Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for speaking services.
