Clear your head and fire up your creativity as you watch elk grazing out the windows, walk along wooded paths, and breathe in cool mountain air. Lisa Copeland, NSA Northwest President, and Elisa Hays, President-Elect have generously offered to host this writers retreat weekend at their cozy cabins located near Crystal Mountain.
Friday, April 6 – Arrival beginning at 5:00 PM. Settle in, get comfortable and enjoy a no-host dinner at a local hotspot the Naches Bar & Grill.
Saturday, April 7 – Cathy will lead us through an all-day guided program of coaching, writing exercises, creativity sparks, and discussions. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, coffee, tea and water will be provided.
Sunday, April 8 – We will share our work, get feedback, make accountability plans and clarify strategies for bringing our books to market. Brunch will be provided. Pack up and depart in the early afternoon.
Towels and bedding are included but if you will be more comfortable with your own blanket, pillow or sleeping bag please bring them. Feel free to bring adult beverages of your choosing. Good walking shoes and a jacket are recommended for outdoor exploring.
Be aware that the cabins include stairs. The ground floor bedroom in Elisa’s cabin will be reserved for our guest speaker. Each of the other bedrooms has two or more beds.
Lisa’s cabin has wifi and Elisa’s cabin has cellular service. The two cabins are approximately a mile apart. Carpooling is encouraged although ample parking is available.
