Thanks, Jolene, for arranging this informative meeting. It was great to meet Melissa, Shelly and Julie, who all were very open and clear about how they like to work with speakers. I especially appreciated their interest in receiving copies of author’s books and the recommendation to include presentation outlines on our websites.
It was a fantastic meeting! It opened my eyes to some ideas working with non-profit organizations that I had not considered before. I am retooling some things to contribute in that area. It also helped motivate me to apply a new strategy to my Twitter presence. I’m grateful to Melissa, Shelly and Julie for their insight and time!
This was some solid information by Melissa, Julie, and Shelly. Upon getting back to my office I immediately transcribed from my chicken scrawl to a readable format on the computer. I didn’t wan’t to look at this later and be clueless. Too good to lose.
So thankful to Shelly, Melissa and Julie for their behind-the-curtain peek at how meeting planners think and how they like to work. It was great to see some things that are obviously individual preferences versus what they all want.
I definitely decided to offer a lower fee for local programs after hearing their presentation.
It was wonderful to be a part of this meeting and thank you for the invitation! I must say I certainly learned a lot myself and am looking forward to the next time I book speakers for an event! It was a pleasure meeting you all and I do hope to work with you in the future. Thank you as well to all those that handed off and/or sent books – I am in the process of reading them all now.
